The Beginning
Steve Jones is an avid gun enthusiast and gunsmith with many years of shooting experience. He is recognized in sport shooting the world over. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, he started shooting at the young age of 5, entering junior matches when he was 12. He is an expert marksman, hunter, and competitive trap and bench rest shooter.
In 1989 Steve started Recoil-less Engineering finding that properly adjustable recoil pads did not exist. He began selling them at competitions and shows where the adjusters were in high demand. Steve decided to concentrate on new innovations to his pad adjusters and bench rest shooting and, in 1996, Recoil-less put eight guns on two teams in trap and skeet at the Olympic games. Since then Steve has been improving his designs to perfect and roll out new improved models of the Jones Stock Adjuster.
